When people first see Saturn using a telescope, they usually gasp. Saturn is the sixth planet farthest to the Sun. Saturn has a belt made of Asteroids. None of the astronauts been on Saturn. If they can, they would not be able to get back. Saturn also is the flattest planet. Saturn Has 62 moons and smaller moonlets. There are 4 spacecrafts that visited Saturn.
Facts about SatUrn
Saturn is the second biggest planet in the Solar System after Jupiter. Imagine if we were traveling on a jet, it will take ten days and nights to get across Saturn's ring. Saturn has a equatorial diameter that is near 72,370 miles. 95 Earths can actually fit inside Saturn! In order to do a full orbit around the Sun, Saturn will need 10 Earth hours to do that. Saturn has a temperature of -288 degrees fahrenheit. That's cold! Saturn has 62 moons and some moonlets.
Around Saturn
Saturn has a visible ring. Which means that you can see Saturn's ring through a telescope. All of the other planets you can't see. When you look through the telescope, you should see terrestrial planets and gas planets. But on this tab, we are only going to focus on Saturn. So, when you see Saturn through a telescope, you see Saturn and it's moons and it's pretty outside. But the coolest thing is that Saturn's ring is made of asteroids.
